A DAY IN THE WILDERNESS

Take an unforgettable full day tour, exploring the incredibly remote waterways and wilderness of Bathurst Harbour/ Port Davey.

Departing Cambridge Airport, our aircraft will fly you into this remote area via the South West Coast.  Departing Cambridge airport, we will make our way down the D'Entrecasteaux Channel and on past Recherche Bay to Tasmanian’s most southern point at South East Cape. 

At this point we leave civilization behind and enter the vast South West Wilderness by following the famous South Coast Track all the way to the other side of the island, far corner of the most remote part South West World Heritage Area at Melaleuca

On the ground at Melaleuca, you'll have the opportunity to explore some of the local area, including visiting the local tin mine, a visit to see the rear and endanger Orange Bellied Parrot at the Denny King Bird Hide and some walks around the local area.

Afterwards, we'll go onboard one of boats for a boat trip up the Melaleuca Inlet, into Bathurst Harbour, a waterway the size of Sydney Harbour, which has been untouched by civilisation.

You will visit the untouched Celery Top Islands, take walks in the wilderness and enjoy lunch whilst breathing some of the cleanest air in the World.

Late in the afternoon, we'll then board our aircraft, and return to Cambridge Airport, via Federation Peak, and Mt Picton, over Huonville and Hobart City.

Tour is approx 8 hours in duration and in all inclusive. Departs daily at 09:00.
